Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Make therapy change recommendations to physicians and facility staff as needed.
  • Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness including drug selection, dosage, and potential interactions.
  • Utilize clinical skills to assess medical history, therapies, and laboratory data.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and healthcare team members about medication queries.
  • Provide shift coverage as needed and perform daily cost-containment tasks across locations.

We are looking for a Pharmacist to join our Cost Containment team!

Under the supervision of the Director of Cost Containment Pharmacist, and in compliance with all local, state, federal, and company laws and regulations, ensures the accurate and safe distribution of medical products to client facilities.

Hours: Full Time Days Shift; Monday through Friday and weekend if needed

Key Responsibilities
• Make recommendations for therapy changes to the physician and client facilities staff when necessary.
• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions and proper administration.
• Clinical skills needed: medical history, therapies and laboratory data, etc.
• Communicate with facilities' nursing staff, physicians and other healthcare team members, regarding medication-related query.
• Ability to provide shift coverage as needed and perform other daily cost-containment and therapeutic interchange tasks across all locations.

Qualifications
  • Licensed Pharmacist in the State of NJ (Required) and NY, OH, PA, KY & TX licensure a (Plus)
