Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist in the State of NJ (Required); licensure in NY, OH, PA, KY & TX is a plus.
• Preferred Long Term Care experience.
• Certified Consultant Pharmacist Training is a bonus.
• Previous experience in Hospital and Retail pharmacy or related medical fields.
• Preferred knowledge of drug pricing and medication classes.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Computer literate; knowledge of Frameworks LTC system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Make therapy change recommendations to physicians and facility staff as needed.
• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness including drug selection, dosage, and potential interactions.
• Utilize clinical skills to assess medical history, therapies, and laboratory data.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and healthcare team members about medication queries.
• Provide shift coverage as needed and perform daily cost-containment tasks across locations.
