Who YOU are and what YOU can becomeAs the Cost & Contracts Manager, you will strategically develop and execute on cost out initiatives within the direct supply base, as well as ensure that parts are maintained on long-term agreements. You would encompass ownership of activities such as; bid list development, technical data package collection, RFP/RFQ, cost analysis, price and contract negotiation, compliance documentation drafting, deal review approvals and contract finalization.
What YOU will do- Manage and track long term agreements with suppliers
- Develop a strategy for expiring long term agreements
- Identify opportunities to cut costs through competitive bids, establish long term agreements, and identify new sources of supply
- Manage contract negotiation process
- Present potential agreements to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Manage transition to new suppliers with sourcing, quality, and engineering teams
- Effectively communicate with Program Management & Finance to assure quality financial models and risk are captured for the program
- Lead or participate in organizational efforts in assigned projects and / or tasks
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects / tasks are compliant with policies and procedures
- Foster and inspire a collaborative work style and display team-oriented behavior with a proactive example of communication internally and externally
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in pricing models and pricing optimization techniques
- Provide guidance and support to commodity buyers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment
What YOU must bring to Succeed- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience with 5+ years of supply chain experience in aerospace.
- This position involves access to export-controlled technology which requires U.S. Person status or government authorization. A 'U.S. Person,' as defined by 22 C.F.R. b7120.62, includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, individuals lawfully admitted for permanent residence (green card holders), and individuals granted asylum or refugee status in the United States. To be considered for this position, you must either be a U.S. Person or fall within a legally recognized export control exception or authorization. If hired, you will be required to provide valid proof of such status.
Desired Characteristics- Advanced Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
- Previous experience in Aviation engines / systems / aircraft
- Previous experience working with Finance or with financial models
- Ability to effectively manage multiple project responsibilities
- Previous experience in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement
- Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills

Estimate salary range for this role: $88,200 to $127,300 per year. ST Engineering MRAS considers several factors with extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, education/training/certification, job level, and work location. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
