Full Job Description
Kalman & Company is seeking a highly motivated, performance-driven individual with strong cost analysis experience to work closely with our Department of Homeland Security (DHS) clients. Successful candidates will have excellent communication, quantitative, research, and analytical skills and the ability to principally contribute to several of the largest and most significant studies in Kalman's portfolio. This position will require on-site work at corporate and/or client locations in the Arlington, VA area a few days a week. This position is contingent upon government contract award. The salary range is $110K/yr-$125K/yr.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Lead, develop, update, manipulate, and maintain cost and affordability models in support of emerging capabilities and priority programs
  • Lead, develop, update, and apply mathematical and logical methodologies for supporting program analyses
  • Support data analytics and advanced analytics efforts
  • Lead efforts in collecting, normalizing, and analyzing complex data
  • Conduct and manage program office estimates and reference them to build and defend budget requirements and forecast future funding needs
  • Evaluate program investment and acquisition strategies and courses of action
  • Conduct comparative decision analyses, includes Business Case Analyses (BCAs), Analyses of Alternatives (AoAs), Economic Analyses (EAs), and market research
  • Lead preparation of briefing materials and other communication packages presenting analysis results to management at the executive and oversight levels for all affected program/project funding requirements
  • Work autonomously and as part of a team to meet organizational and project goals
  • Have a strong understanding of DHS Acquisition processes
  • Communicate and work with diverse organizations and representatives for data collection, analysis, and results presentation
  • Provide thought leadership clearly demonstrating an understanding of the customer mission and innovative ideas to address business challenges of the customer

Minimum Requirements:
  • US Citizenship
  • The ability to obtain a government-issued clearance.
  • At least 4 years of experience in support of government acquisition programs and knowledge Federal contract requirements, cost estimating, and cost analysis
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Demonstrated capability to work both independently and under the direction of experienced analysts
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic work environment and ability to coordinate and perform multiple assignments
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal


Preferred:
  • Possession of an industry-standard cost certification (ICEAA Certification - CCEA/PCEA/SCEC, DAWIA/DHS Cost Estimating Certification) is preferred
