Cost Accounting Supervisor for a well-established manufacturing client in Oakland County.
Job Responsibilities- Oversee the accuracy, integrity, and alignment of global cost standards
- Develop, document, and continuously enhance global standard operating procedures and desktop work instructions, driving efficiency and harmonization across regions.
- Direct global cost and inventory initiatives, providing analytical insight and leadership on cross-functional projects.
- Oversee monthly global Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) calculations, ensuring timely, accurate journal entries and comprehensive review of variances and trends.
- Ensure proper accounting treatment for COGS and inventory across all global entities, including validation of system interfaces and alignment with the general ledger.
- Lead the quarterly global excess and obsolete review process, analyzing inventory health and proactively identifying risk areas.
- Prepare and review internal and external management reporting for U.S., Mexico, and other global locations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum 7 years accounting experience
- At least 3 years experience in inventory or cost analysis.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent formal supervisory experience
