Job Description POSITION SUMMARY:
The Cost Accountant is responsible for ensuring proper standard cost accounting is followed for CFW Group inventory and to provide support to the GM and all operational/supply chain teams. The Cost Accountant will be responsible for all areas related to cost-related items. This position reports to the Controller.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead in daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting for all sites related to income statements and balance sheet
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting from the operations. Prepare Ad hoc reports as needed by operations and management
• Serve as a financial business partner to the GM, operations and supply chain teams
• Responsible for all aspects of standard cost accounting for CFW products
• Support general accounting group within different areas of fixed assets, payables, and receivables for related cost issues
• Prepare monthly closing journal entries and adjustments to financial records; organize, analyze and complete month end financial statements.
• Assist in annual physical inventories
• Monitor fixed asset capital projects from start to completion
• Responsible for monthly account reconciliations
• Provide support to accounting staff and assist in resolving issues that arise in these areas with minimal supervision
• Willingness to perform special projects to improve process efficiency and performance projects as assigned
• Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction
• All functions, duties or tasks are to be carried out in an honest, ethical and professional manner, and to be performed in conformance with applicable Company policies and procedures.
• Responsible for Excess & Obsolete reserve calculations on a quarterly basis
• Reconcile and analyze monthly Standard Margin and Sales Analysis.
• Create and maintain budget and forecasting activities for inventory balances and COGS.
• Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient processes, procedures, and use of resources while maintaining a high level of timeliness and accuracy.
• Support SOX program compliance
REQUIRED SKILLS:

EDUCATION:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
EXPERIENCE:
• 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the manufacturing industry
• Passion for the job and a can-do attitude; willing to work the hours necessary to enable the business to continually exceed expectations.
• Relentless and tenacious pursuit of continuous improvement in all facets of the business
• Highly organized and able to juggle several time-sensitive projects simultaneously.
• Understanding of GAAP and statutory accounting concepts and principles
For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $65700 to $98500 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.
