Responsibilities

Full Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Cost Accountant to join our growing manufacturing company. This role is responsible for analyzing product costs, maintaining accurate inventory and manufacturing cost data, supporting financial reporting, and helping management make informed operational and pricing decisions. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, enjoys digging into data, and can partner effectively with both finance and operations teams.

This position is onsite (not remote/not hybrid) and not eligible for Visa sponsorship or transfer of Visa sponsorship.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain standard costs. Analyze costs performance against expectations.
  • Support month-end close activities related to inventory, work-in-process, cost of goods sold, and manufacturing variances
  • Partner with operations, purchasing, and engineering to ensure accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and ERP data integrity
  • Assist with physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliations
  • Analyze manufacturing costs, margins, and inventory trends to identify risks and opportunities
  • Develop and improve cost reports, models, and internal controls to support decision-making in a growing business

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, with cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of inventory accounting, standard costing, variance analysis, and general accounting principles
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both financial and operational teams
  • Self-starter who can adapt in a growing company environment


Compensation / Benefits:
  • $70,000 to $110,000 DOE
