Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Laboratory test plan development and execution.
- Maintain individual project schedule.
- Identify topics for new projects.
- Write white papers/proposals for projects.
- Meet with customers/sponsors to communicate and review new project ideas and solicit feedback.
Requirements- Education: Bachelor's degree in materials engineering, mechanical engineering, or other similar engineering degree from an accredited university or college is required
- The candidate must have demonstrated professional writing and presentation skills along with an excellent ability to collaborate with a team.
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- 3+ years of applicable experience is required.
- Must be willing to work in Bethesda, MD; Olney, MD; and Fairfax, VA. Time spent will be primarily in Bethesda, and Olney, but will on occasion require time in Fairfax, as well.
Desired Skills: - Experience working with and supporting US Navy and/or US Marine Corps programs is highly desired.
- Technical expertise in materials science/engineering (especially corrosion and coatings), electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and military vehicle/ship platforms is desired.
- Experience with data analysis and statistics is a plus.
