DescriptionThe Department of Community Corrections and Rehabilitation (DOCCR) is hiring a Corrections Unit Supervisor in the Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) unit within the Adult Probation Supervision Services (APSS) division. This position will be responsible for guiding and developing staff in the dynamic situations of intimate partner violence and domestic situations that include clients, victims, justice partners, DOCCR policies/procedures and state laws.
Location and hours: This position is hybrid and will be performed both onsite at various Hennepin County locations, including, but not limited to the locations below, and remote as job duties require. This position may require travel between sites throughout the day. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.

In this position, you will:- Guide staff in dynamic IPV supervision such as interacting with victims, and providing advocacy resources, along with being responsive to urgent and emergent situations.
- Supervise staff in DOCCR contact standards which are 40:1 high contact supervision and low contact supervision.
- Guide staff in the court process, public safety, victim safety, lethality factors, client change and accountability.
- Model and help support caseload work with Evidence Based Practices that include actuarial assessments, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral interventions, case planning, and "Risk, Needs and Responsivity principles" that facilitate positive client change.
- Support staff who also manage IPV and Inter/Intrastate cases in accordance with supervision standards and Inter/Intrastate processes and procedures.
- Serve as a resource across the department and promote relationships with stakeholders, the Department of Community Corrections and Rehabilitation (DOCCR), and other criminal justice partners.
Need to have:- One of the following:
- Seven years or more of full-time equivalent work experience as a probation/parole officer, correctional officer/juvenile correctional officer, sentencing to service crew leader, social worker, or a supervisor in a correctional or residential treatment setting.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in criminal justice, behavioral/social science, social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, law enforcement, education, business, correctional or public administration or an equivalent field and three years or more of full-time equivalent work experience listed above.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a non-related field and four years or more of full-time equivalent work experience listed above.
- Master's degree or higher in one of the above fields and two years ormore of full-time equivalent work experience listed above.
- Note: Completion of an Evidence-Based Practice Corrections Professional Certificate from an approved school may be substituted for one year of relevant coursework or one year of relevant experience.
- Note: Additional position related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a Hennepin County driver's permit.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook or similar email system, Minnesota Government Access (MGA), Juvenile Interstate Data System (JIDS), and Court Services Tracking System (CSTS) or similar information system.
- Knowledge of the policies and procedures that govern the work done by Hennepin County Adult Services divisions.
