Position Summary This position will direct institution-wide, specialized programs for the facility, including reception/orientation, specialized programs, and social services. Additionally, this position plans, coordinates, and administers programs and processes as part of development, implementation, and monitoring of overall institution goals, policies, and procedures as part of the institution management team. This position is also responsible for diverse administrative responsibilities necessary in managing a complex multi-disciplinary institution. This position is responsible to act as part of the institution management team, planning and coordinating activities and relationships with outside agencies, organizations and the public.
Salary Information This position is in pay schedule and range 81-03 with a starting pay of $45.67/hour, plus excellent benefits. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A probationary period is required.

Job Details Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application.
The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency of employment.
The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
This position is not eligible for remote work and may be required to work evening and/or weekend hours to facilitate activities.
Qualifications Minimally qualified applicants will have experience:
- Assessing, performing treatment planning, facilitating evidence-based curricula and counseling clients
- Collecting, reviewing, and analyzing evidence-based program data for quality assurance and policy/procedural change recommendations.
- Performing supervision or lead worker related activities (e.g. assigning, directing, and/evaluating work; disciplinary matters, completing performance elevations, hiring, providing training/mentoring).
In addition to the above, well qualified applicant will have experience:
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating treatment and/or specialized programs (e.g. treatment, clinical, and/or social services, education, religious programs, structured activities).
- Coordinating, developing and/or delivering training that enhances evidence-based practices and/or supports organizational goals.
