Full Job Description
About the role

Forterra is seeking a Corporate Travel Manager to build and own our corporate travel program. This role sits within Internal Operations and is responsible for the full travel experience-from policy development and vendor relationships to platform management and employee support. As our travel program grows alongside the company, you'll ensure it runs efficiently, cost-effectively, and with a great employee experience at the center.

What you'll do

  • Build, implement, and continuously improve Forterra's corporate travel policies and program
  • Govern travel policy day to day, including exception requests, approvals, and escalations
  • Own vendor relationships with airlines, hotels, car rental providers, and travel technology partners
  • Manage and optimize our travel platform to improve usability and capture cost savings
  • Triage and resolve traveler issues, distinguishing one-off problems from systemic ones, and escalate systemic issues with a recommended fix
  • Analyze travel spend and provide regular reporting with actionable recommendations
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert and primary point of contact for all things travel, including traveler duty of care, safety, and policy compliance
  • Partner cross-functionally to align the travel program with company needs

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of corporate travel management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to build and mature a travel program in a scaling environment
  • Experience managing vendor contracts and negotiations
  • Hands-on experience with travel management platforms
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with spend data
  • Runs a function with minimal direction: spots problems early, solves what they can, and surfaces decisions rather than escalating every issue
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Navan, Egencia, or Perk
  • Experience in high-growth technology or defense companies
  • Understanding of, or exposure to, government-contract travel compliance (Fly America Act, JTR/per diem, DCAA documentation) is a plus.
