About the roleForterra is seeking a Corporate Travel Manager to build and own our corporate travel program. This role sits within Internal Operations and is responsible for the full travel experience-from policy development and vendor relationships to platform management and employee support. As our travel program grows alongside the company, you'll ensure it runs efficiently, cost-effectively, and with a great employee experience at the center.
What you'll do- Build, implement, and continuously improve Forterra's corporate travel policies and program
- Govern travel policy day to day, including exception requests, approvals, and escalations
- Own vendor relationships with airlines, hotels, car rental providers, and travel technology partners
- Manage and optimize our travel platform to improve usability and capture cost savings
- Triage and resolve traveler issues, distinguishing one-off problems from systemic ones, and escalate systemic issues with a recommended fix
- Analyze travel spend and provide regular reporting with actionable recommendations
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert and primary point of contact for all things travel, including traveler duty of care, safety, and policy compliance
- Partner cross-functionally to align the travel program with company needs
Qualifications- 3+ years of corporate travel management experience
- Demonstrated ability to build and mature a travel program in a scaling environment
- Experience managing vendor contracts and negotiations
- Hands-on experience with travel management platforms
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with spend data
- Runs a function with minimal direction: spots problems early, solves what they can, and surfaces decisions rather than escalating every issue
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with Navan, Egencia, or Perk
- Experience in high-growth technology or defense companies
- Understanding of, or exposure to, government-contract travel compliance (Fly America Act, JTR/per diem, DCAA documentation) is a plus.
US Salary Range
$90,000-$140,000
The salary range for this role is an estimate and is based on a wide variety of compensation factors. The salary offered to candidates will vary based on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) relevant work experience, education, specialized training, critical expertise, training, and more. Equity in Forterra is included in most of our full-time, high-demand roles and is therefore considered part of Forterra's overall compensation package.
