Job Description

Corporate Strategy Consultants lead and coordinate corporate projects to help inform or develop Osler's strategic priorities liaising with members of the Executive Team (ET), individuals across the organization and external partners.

The work of Corporate Strategy Consultants is directly related to the development, refresh and execution of the corporate Strategic Plan and other corporate level strategies/plans. This role is instrumental in informing the decisions of ET and helping to align all areas of the organization to Osler's corporate priorities.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and coordinate corporate projects to help inform or develop Osler's strategic priorities liaising with members of the executive team and individuals across the organization
  • Provide support to Strategy Management Office, Transformation Management Office, senior leaders and the executive team on organizational priority projects and strategies
  • Support annual business planning activities to support the development and communication of clear organizational priorities, initiatives and associated measures of performance
  • Plan and manage an inclusive process to develop a multi-year organizational strategic plan, and lead various components of the planning process
  • Conduct secondary research and link with external partners and experts to obtain information and tools to support project activities
  • Participate in the creation and delivery of innovative presentations, briefing notes and planning documents to support the executive team
  • Engage with members of the Organizational Performance team to obtain and analyze activity and performance data/information to inform strategic decision making
  • Liaise with the Transformation Management Office to transition newly developed strategies/priorities into the execution phase
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the Strategy Management Office
  • Lead the procurement of services where needed, liaising with Shared Services West as appropriate
  • Participate in meetings with the broader Strategic Communications department and support members of the team to achieve departmental priorities and objectives
  • Provide direct support to the Vice President Strategy and Organizational Performance, other members of the executive team and portfolio on organizational priority projects and strategies
  • Organize and facilitate annual business planning activities to support the development and communication of clear organizational priorities, initiatives and associated measures of performance


Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science, Applied Science, Arts, Commerce, Health Administration or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum one to three years hospital-based experience required
  • Three to five years experience and knowledge of project management methodologies and change management approaches
  • One to three years experience with strategic planning, business case development, management consulting and stakeholder engagement
  • Thorough understanding of strategic/business planning processes and approaches to developing strong stakeholder buy-in
  • Thorough understanding of project management methodologies, practices and tools
  • Demonstrated clinical and stakeholder engagement expertise
  • Strong leadership abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in both a team setting and independently
  • Superior interpersonal, communications skills and ability to successfully build relationships
  • Demonstrated effective analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret healthcare performance data/information
  • Secondary research skills (using academic and grey literature sources)
  • Proactive and customer-focused work approach
  • Strong writing skills for both executive and public audiences
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

Hours: Currently Days (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)

This is a Hybrid Role: Roles that function remotely, but require essential, regular onsite weekly work.

Salary:
Minimum: $90,402.00
Maximum: $113,022.00
