  • Review and assess sanctions-related cases, risk acceptances and business proposals against applicable U.S., UK and EU sanctions requirements, other relevant jurisdictional considerations, and Deutsche Bank policies and risk appetite
  • Coordinate with Business, Legal, Compliance, Operations and regional Sanctions Advisory colleagues to obtain relevant facts, resolve issues and promote consistent, practical outcomes across jurisdictions
  • Support sanctions governance through accurate case records, documented decision rationales, action tracking, quality assurance and the maintenance of procedures, guidance and other control documentation
  • Prepare and analyze management information, themes and case trends to support oversight, identify recurring issues and contribute to proportionate control or process enhancements
  • Contribute to regulatory change implementation, training, stakeholder communications, assurance or audit responses, and other team priorities, taking ownership of assigned deliverables through to closure

Skills You'll Need
  • Proven sanctions advisory, compliance, legal or financial crime experience within a regulated financial institution or comparable professional environment
  • Working knowledge of U.S. sanctions administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control, as well as UK and EU sanctions requirements, and the ability to evaluate cross-border matters involving multiple sanctions regimes
  • Understanding of Corporate Bank products and services, such as payments, cash management, trade finance, lending or correspondent banking, and the sanctions risks they can present
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills, including the ability to identify relevant facts, apply policy and regulation, and document clear, defensible conclusions
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in law, finance, economics, business, international relations, compliance or a related discipline
  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimize workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs

Skills That Will Help You Excel
  • Pragmatic judgment and the confidence to make proportionate recommendations while recognizing when escalation is required
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail and deliver reliably in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative stakeholder-management skills and the ability to work effectively across businesses, functions, regions and levels of seniority
