Overview

The Corporate Regional Director of Finance is responsible for the oversight and performance of the hotel accounting function across Omni Hotels & Resorts. This role ensures consistent execution of accounting policies, financial controls, month-end close processes, balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow reporting for partnership hotels, and the month-end process across the portfolio. This position develops and strengthens hotel finance talent through onboarding, training, mentoring, and succession planning. Manage finance task force deployments and provide support for leadership vacancies, new property openings, transitions, and other operational needs to ensure consistent financial performance and compliance with Company standards.

As a member of the operational leadership team, the Corporate Regional Director of Finance provides the accounting perspective within the Trilogy Team partnership framework, collaborating closely with Operations, Sales, Revenue Management and Human Resource leaders to support business performance, financial discipline, and achievement of property objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and oversight for hotel accounting operations across the portfolio, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with Company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
  • Direct and support month-end, and year-end close activities, ensuring timely completion of financial reporting requirements and adherence to established deadlines.
  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and cash flow management processes to ensure financial integrity and appropriate stewardship of company assets.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standardized operating procedures (SOPs) and accounting policies across all properties and centralized accounting teams.
  • Lead the relationship and performance management of shared services and BPO accounting functions, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and reporting commitments are achieved.
  • Partner with property and regional operations leadership to support financial performance, operational efficiency, and achievement of budget and forecast targets.
  • Provide accounting guidance and operational support to hotel finance teams, ensuring alignment with Company standards and best practices.
  • Monitor financial results and accounting processes to identify trends, risks, improvement opportunities, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, audit standards, and Company financial policies while maintaining a strong internal control environment.
  • Collaborate with Treasury, Tax, Shared Services, Internal Audit, and Corporate Finance teams to ensure effective coordination of financial activities across the organization.
  • Support annual budgeting and forecasting activities by ensuring financial assumptions, accounting treatments, and reporting structures are aligned with business objectives.
  • Serve as the accounting subject matter expert within the Trilogy leadership teams, providing financial insight and guidance to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Lead, coach, and develop property finance leaders, fostering a culture of accountability, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and talent development.
  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and standardization efforts that enhance efficiency, scalability, and service delivery across the accounting function.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • CPA designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive hospitality finance and accounting experience, including significant property-level accounting leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience supporting multi-property hotel portfolios and managing accounting operations in a shared service environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience working with centralized accounting functions and/or BPO providers.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel accounting practices, internal controls, financial reporting, and GAAP.
  • Proven experience overseeing month-end close processes, balance sheet management, reconciliations, and financial compliance.
  • Familiarity with hospitality financial systems, ERP platforms, PMS, POS, labor management, and reporting applications.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with a proven track record of developing finance talent and building high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and partnership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with operational and corporate stakeholders at all levels.
