We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused talent leader to design, implement, and continuously improve enterprise talent programs that support leadership development, workforce capability, and organizational effectiveness across EllisDon.
This role will partner closely with People & Culture and business leaders to build scalable talent practices that support the company's growth and evolving workforce needs. The successful candidate will lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of key talent initiatives such as leadership development, performance programs, succession planning, and capability frameworks.
While the role supports the broader talent program ecosystem at EllisDon, initial priorities will include strengthening succession planning processes and enhancing the EllisDon's performance and competency framework, Edge Ahead.
This position is expected to operate as a strategic builder and program owner, capable of translating business needs into practical talent solutions that can scale across the organization.
You as a Corporate Programs Manager will:
- Design, implement, and continuously improve enterprise talent programs that strengthen leadership capability, workforce development, and organizational effectiveness across EllisDon
- Build scalable processes and frameworks that keep talent practices consistent across business units, translating organizational needs into structured initiatives and implementation plans
- Develop proposals, roadmaps, and rollout strategies for new and evolving talent programs, including piloting initiatives, gathering feedback, measuring impact, and refining before broader launch
- Capture lessons learned and embed best practices so programs stay sustainable over time
- Support the design and execution of role-based succession planning across job families, and contribute to executive succession frameworks and governance structures
- Define readiness models and talent evaluation approaches that strengthen the leadership pipeline
- Enhance and evolve EllisDon's performance and competency framework, Edge Ahead, keeping competencies, evaluation practices, and development conversations relevant and scalable
- Develop training materials and guidance that help managers and employees participate effectively in performance and development processes
- Partner with People & Culture leaders and business stakeholders to understand talent priorities, and facilitate structured talent conversations and workshops with leadership teams
- Support leaders and managers through the adoption of new talent practices, building capability through clear communication, education, and enablement
- Manage program timelines, milestones, and governance structures, tracking effectiveness and communicating outcomes and insights to leadership
- Ensure talent initiatives align with organizational priorities and deliver measurable impact
Is this the right role for you?
- You have a degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Psychology, or a related field; a Master's in HR, Organizational Development, or Leadership is an asset
- You hold or are working toward a CHRL or CHRP designation (an asset)
- You bring seven or more years of progressive experience in talent management, organizational development, talent development, or learning and development, including enterprise-level succession planning and leadership pipeline work
- You have designed, launched, and scaled talent programs from the ground up, such as succession planning, performance and competency frameworks, or leadership development
- You can translate business needs into practical, structured talent solutions, roadmaps, and implementation plans that scale across an organization
- You are a confident facilitator of talent reviews and calibration sessions, and you can advise and influence senior leaders without direct authority
- You are comfortable with talent analytics, HRIS platforms (Workday is an asset), and tools such as 9-box grids, readiness models, and dashboards; familiarity with assessment tools like Hogan or PI is a plus
- You are skilled in change management and enablement, helping leaders and teams adopt new practices and frameworks
- You have strong communication, stakeholder management, and program governance skills, with high attention to detail and sound judgment
- You thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented, matrixed environment; experience in construction, engineering, or another large project-based organization is an asset
- The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $130,000 per year
