Upon receipt of an offer of employment, candidates must satisfactorily complete the required drug screen, physical, and background checksPosition DescriptionJob SummaryThe Corporate Payroll Administrator manages and processes payroll for all employees to ensure pay is accurate, timely, and compliant with federal, state, and local regulations. This role handles timecard verification, payroll adjustments, tax withholdings, and garnishments, while maintaining confidential records. The Payroll Administrator also provides support to employees with payroll-related questions and partners with HR and Finance to ensure smooth payroll operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:- Process payroll for all employees in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Verify employee timecards, hours worked, overtime, and deductions for accuracy.
- Maintain payroll records, employee data, and related documentation with confidentiality.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and tax regulations.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports for management and Finance teams.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, taxes, and benefits.
- Coordinate with HR to ensure accurate processing of new hires, terminations, promotions, and status changes.
- Manage garnishments, tax withholdings, direct deposit updates, and other payroll adjustments.
- Assist with year-end processing, including W-2s and other payroll tax reporting.
- Support internal and external audits by providing payroll data and documentation as needed.
- Prepare and submit annual tax requirements as needed per state.
Position RequirementsSkills & Qualifications: - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, HR, or related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of payroll administration experience, in a multi-state environment.
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, wage and hour laws, and tax compliance.
- Experience with payroll systems (Vista and UKG a plus).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
