Full Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Corporate Group & Transient Sr. Sales Manager will focus on educating travel professionals & company travel planners on L'Ermitage Beverly Hills, moving market share from our competitors, and uncovering new corporate transient business with travel to Beverly Hills / Los Angeles. Through effective relationship building and account management they will deliver the highest levels of guest service and will ensure ongoing client satisfaction. They will be a creative, energetic, and knowledgeable professional, and will be fundamental to the ongoing success of the hotel.

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Support the Sales and Marketing Department in generating revenue and driving business growth for the hotel.
  • Works collaboratively with the sales team to ensure sales efforts are coordinated and not duplicated.
  • Generate new business, close deals, and increase revenue by soliciting new and existing business, on-site visits and sales tours, and community networking.
  • Identify new business leads by examining local market trends and competition activities.
  • Establish and grow our market share by developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing planners in the corporate transient and group market segments.
  • Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication, and recommend discipline when appropriate.
  • Ensure training programs are conducted regularly, and Company standards of performance are met. Give guidance and counsel staff toward improvement.
  • Organize and/or lead scheduled Sales Department and related meetings.
  • Direct the preparation of reports pertaining to the operation of the Sales Department to include, but not limited to; the annual and monthly Forecast, sales tactical planning, Lead Management System, Booking PACE Reporting, STR report analysis and submitting weekly activity tracking with commentary.
  • Coordinate ongoing research of the travel industry to detect market trends and related information for development of new direct sales strategies.
  • Make reasonable and informed recommendations to improve potential business from existing and emerging markets.
  • Establish themselves as a subject matter expert; serves the property by understanding of the Market, business issues, and concerns to offer better business solutions to the operation.
  • Represent the properties to the group market segments as needed to increase market penetration and exceed revenue targets.
  • Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Meet with and entertain clients, some of which will require travel.
  • Establish themselves as a brand ambassador serving the customer by understanding their business, business issues, and concerns to offer better business solutions.
  • Supports the company's service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
  • Provides excellent customer service consistent with the daily service of the company.
  • Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to the staff.
  • Works collaboratively with the commercial team to promote initiatives.
  • Initiate preparation of computerized annual Sales & Marketing Plan and execute plans as outlined, critically examining and adjusting as deemed necessary by current market conditions.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Initiate and sales agreements on the company's behalf, in alignment with property standards.
  • Initiate resumes as needed to ensure a seamless guest experience by communicating key information to internal department stakeholders.


KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 5+ years sales, events, or applicable hospitality leadership experience, hotel/lodging environment highly preferred.
  • 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major field.
  • Strong understanding of hotel operations; reservations, appropriate guest service etiquette, etc.
  • A complete understanding forecasting, selling, Beverly Hills, and Los Angeles Comp set.
  • Available and willing to work flexible hours based on business needs including weekdays and weekends.
  • Requirement for business travel.
  • Successful completion of satisfactory background check.
  • Demonstrates natural leadership qualities with a positive, team-focused attitude.
  • Highly motivated individual who can work independently.
  • Ability to handle confidential information discretely and in the proper manner.
  • Self-starter, and possess excellent presentation skills.
  • Proven track record of successful sales history.
  • Demonstrates strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Expresses sincere enthusiasm for the role and passion for events.
  • Must know how to prioritize, delegate, and respond in a timely fashion. Able to work under pressure, multi-task, and stay focused while maintaining hospitality.
