Full Job Description
As a Corporate Governance Specialist within Project & Development Services (PDS), you will play a critical role in supporting governance, operational excellence, onboarding, training, and project coordination activities across a large Financial Services client account. This position is responsible for helping ensure consistent execution of governance standards, business processes, and system adoption across a geographically dispersed team. You will collaborate with project delivery teams, operational leadership, client stakeholders, and business partners to support audit readiness, reduce operational risk, improve compliance, and drive process consistency. In addition, approximately 25% of this role will support project coordination and financial administration activities, helping ensure accurate project records and financial transactions throughout the project lifecycle.

In this role as a Corporate Governance Specialist at JLL, you will be an integral part of our Governance and Operations team, helping to drive consistency, compliance, and operational excellence across a large and complex project delivery organization.

You will be empowered to contribute to strategic initiatives while supporting daily operational processes that enable successful project delivery. Working closely with leadership, project teams, and client stakeholders, you will help strengthen governance programs, improve process adoption, and support organizational growth.

Governance & Operational Excellence
  • Support the implementation and ongoing administration of governance frameworks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflows, and operational standards.
  • Monitor adherence to established governance requirements, identifying risks, compliance concerns, process gaps, and inconsistencies.
  • Conduct governance reviews, quality assurance checks, and documentation audits to support operational excellence and audit readiness.
  • Maintain governance records, process documentation, trackers, and supporting materials.
  • Escalate operational risks, issues, and non-compliance findings to leadership with recommended corrective actions.
  • Support governance meetings through meeting preparation, documentation, action tracking, and follow-up activities.


Onboarding, Training & Enablement
  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires and service partners from pre-boarding through initial integration.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers, Human Resources, Information Technology, and operational stakeholders to ensure onboarding readiness.
  • Monitor onboarding progress, system access provisioning, and required training completion.
  • Deliver onboarding, refresher, and system training sessions using approved materials and standard methodologies.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of training materials, quick reference guides, job aids, presentations, and process documentation.
  • Track training metrics, attendance, completion status, and user feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Support office hours, best practice forums, lessons learned sessions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.


Technology & Systems Support
  • Provide day-to-day support for PMWeb and other operational platforms utilized by the project delivery organization.
  • Troubleshoot user questions and coordinate resolution of system-related issues.
  • Support data integrity reviews and validation of project-related information across systems.
  • Assist with reporting activities, dashboard maintenance, and operational performance tracking.
  • Promote standard system usage and encourage adoption of established processes and tools.


Communication & Stakeholder Coordination
  • Serve as a key point of contact for governance-related inquiries from project teams and operational partners.
  • Maintain organizational charts, communication materials, distribution lists, and compliance-related documentation.
  • Facilitate communication across functional teams to ensure alignment of operational objectives and governance requirements.
  • Support leadership reporting and preparation of operational presentations and business updates.


Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, governance controls, and team effectiveness.
  • Support implementation of process improvements, standardization initiatives, and operational enhancements.
  • Participate in lessons learned exercises and best practice development efforts.
  • Assist with change management activities to support adoption of new tools, systems, and business processes.


Project Coordination Support (Approximately 25%)
  • Support project financial administration activities, including purchase orders, commitments, change orders, and invoice processing within PMWeb.
  • Maintain project financial records and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client requirements.
  • Track invoice status, payment applications, and aging items while escalating concerns as appropriate.
  • Monitor project reporting, data integrity audits, closeout tracking, and workflow status.
  • Participate in Project Manager touchpoints and support project lifecycle administration from initiation through closeout.
  • Generate and analyze project financial and operational reports to support visibility and decision-making.
  • Validate financial documentation, compliance requirements, lien waivers, vendor information, and project records.


What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Supporting governance reviews, compliance monitoring, and audit readiness activities.
  • Coordinating onboarding activities and ensuring successful integration of new team members.
  • Delivering training sessions and promoting adoption of governance standards and project systems.
  • Maintaining governance documentation, operational records, and reporting dashboards.
  • Assisting project teams with PMWeb administration and project financial processes.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to resolve operational issues and improve business processes.
  • Tracking risks, action items, and performance metrics to support operational excellence.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of governance, reporting, and delivery processes.


Compensation & Schedule:
  • Hourly rate of $30.00 - $47.00, based on experience
  • 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
  • In Office expectation, minimum 3 days a week
  • Time entry required
  • Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate for hours exceeding 40 per week, manager approval required


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, Project Management, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of professional experience in project coordination, operations, governance, PMO support, program administration, or related business functions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across virtual teams.
  • Experience supporting large, complex client accounts or enterprise-level project organizations.
  • Experience with onboarding coordination, workforce enablement, training delivery, or change management initiatives.
  • Familiarity with PMWeb or other project management, project controls, or workflow management systems.
  • Experience supporting audits, compliance reviews, governance programs, or quality management processes.
  • Commercial real estate, construction, project management, or professional services industry experience.

Estimated compensation for this position:

62,400.00 - 97,760.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
