Full Job Description
The role manages a portfolio of litigated general liability matters throughout the life cycle of each claim, including complex litigated claims and is responsible for all components of the litigation in partnership with outside counsel including, investigation, managing the reserve, discovery, analyzing liability, damages and matter resolution. The role actively engages in settlement discussions and makes decisions on litigation resolution. What You'll be Doing: Provides legal advice to the business areas designated by first assistant (with approval of Senior VP-General Counsel) including: 3; Advise business teams on the legal implications of business decisions. 3; Monitor and analyze impact of pending and existing laws and regulations relevant to the assigned business area and communicate impact to the business teams. 3; Collaborate with team members in the Legal Department and other areas of the Company, as needed. 3; Develop training, processes and forms to support business needs and efficiencies. 3; Work with outside legal counsel, as needed. 3; This job profile is not meant to be all inclusive of the responsibilities of this position; may perform other duties as assigned or required.
