Corporate ControllerJob Summary:The Corporate Controller is a senior finance leader responsible for overseeing the organization's accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial processes while supporting strategic decision-making and maintaining the company's financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities:- Accounting Operations
- Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Maintain and improve accounting policies and procedures
- Financial Reporting
- Prepare and review financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Deliver accurate financial reports to executive leadership
- Internal Controls & Compliance
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Coordinate and lead internal and external audits
- Budgeting & Analysis
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes in partnership with leadership
- Analyze financial results and provide insights to improve performance
- Monitor variances and recommend corrective actions
- Cash & Process Management
- Oversee cash management and reconcile financial discrepancies
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and systems
- Implement best practices for efficiency and scalability
- Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team
- Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)
- 7-10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Experience with financial systems, ERP platforms, and reporting tools
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
