THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS - Current controller or senior accounting leader who has already owned a meaningful accounting function.
- Private equity-backed, sponsor-owned, acquisitive, or high-growth middle-market company experience.
- Service industry background is strongly preferred.
- Multi-site operating experience is required.
- Exposure to WIP, project accounting, job costing, or similar operational accounting environments is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership ability paired with a willingness to remain hands-on in the work.
- A track record of improving close processes, reporting cadence, controls, reconciliations, and accounting operations.
- Comfort working in a lean environment where priorities shift and the business needs a practical, solutions-oriented accounting leader.
- The credibility to partner directly with a CFO and executive team while earning trust with the accounting team through execution.
