Full Job Description
Responsibilities

This position is accountable for overseeing education and training related to basic and advanced life support for all staff throughout the enterprise including but not limited to clinical staff, physicians, residents, and graduate medical education (GME) students.   This educator will provide initial and follow up education with a continued needs assessment to ensure that staff is competent to respond/treat patients who are experiencing life threatening events under the guidelines of the American Red Cross and the American Heart Association guidelines, as well as the American Academy of Pediatrics.  The focus will be on high risk, low volume events to prepare staff for immediate recall and action in order to improve quality outcomes. 

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1.    Minimum of two (2) years teaching experience ALS instructor

2.    Bachelor’s Degree in health-related field preferred

3.    Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certificate upon hire and maintain current.

4.    BLS, ACLS, PALS Instructor status required

5.    Minimum of five (5) years Emergency related experience required

6.    Minimum of two (2) years teaching experience preferred

7.    Must be able to travel to a variety of Prime Healthcare facilities on an as needed basis

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
