Full Job Description
  • JOB SUMMARY
    • The Core Lab Manager is part of the Laboratory Leadership team. Working with the Laboratory Medical Director and Administrative Director, the Core Lab Manager is responsible for the technical oversight of all laboratory testing. This position is responsible for the development and maintenance of an operation that is highly efficient, constantly improving and provides highly competitive laboratory services. This position maintains relationships with pathologists and medical staff to ensure laboratory results are of appropriate utilization for patients while having direct responsibility over assigned clinical departments. Along with all Lab management, develops long and short-range plans, strategic business growth, expansion, and diversification that supports BMC plan and Ancillary Services operational plans. Participates in the teaching of the Medical Technology Students.
  • JOB REQUIREMENTS
    • Experience:
      • Five years of recent laboratory experience required.
      • Three years of experience in a management role required.
      • Experience in developing and implementing new tests or protocols required.
      • Experience in developing quality management programs required.
      • Experience in the management of large, diverse teams within mutliple testing specialties.
    • Education:
      • Masters degree in science or management preferred.
    • Licensure & Certifications:
      • GENERA - Certified Generalist Medical Technologist /Medical Lab Scientist through ASCP.
      • ASCP preferred.
