The Core Faculty member supports the educational mission of the Family Medicine Residency Program in Jacksonville, Florida (Cannaday Primary Care Center) through excellence in clinical care, resident education, mentorship, curriculum development, scholarship, and program administration. Working collaboratively with residency leadership, core faculty promote high-quality patient care while ensuring compliance with ACGME requirements and fostering a culture of professionalism, wellness, and continuous improvement.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct supervision and clinical teaching in ambulatory and procedural settings.
  • Teach and assess residents using competency-based education and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Serve as a faculty advisor and mentor, supporting resident professional development and well-being.
  • Participate in curriculum development, didactic teaching, simulation, and educational innovation.
  • Contribute to the Clinical Competency Committee (CCC), Program Evaluation Committee (PEC), recruitment, orientation, and other residency activities.
  • Engage in scholarly activity, quality improvement, and faculty development.
  • Maintain an active clinical practice that models evidence-based, patient-centered family medicine.
