AT&T has an opening forCORE Network Engineer to support our government customers’ global enterprise networks. This position requires office presence a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered. Work to be performed at a government customer site in Chantilly, VA.
Description of Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Design and Develop tools for relevant operating systems platforms.
- Design and Develop tools that integrate with commercial applications.
- Design and Develop database management systems, image processing, collaborative tools, data manipulation techniques, data visualization techniques, and directory services.
- Develop and conduct unit tests
- Determine feasibility of software design within time and cost constraints.
- Document software designs and related instructions so that others can understand and replicate the program.
- Write or contribute to instructions or manuals to guide end users.
- Assign, coordinate, and review work and activities of programming personnel.
- Collaborate with computer manufacturers and users to develop new programming methods.
- Train subordinates in programming and program coding.
- Design and build web sites, using authoring or scripting languages, content creation tools, management tools, and digital media.

Required Qualifications:
Candidate must have 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 3 years, master’s and 4 years, bachelor’s and 6 years, associates and 8 years or HS diploma and 10years. Required qualifications include the following:
- Must be compliant with DoD 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.

Our Core Network Engineer (Network Designer II) (Government) earns $89,200 - $180,000 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
