Full Job Description
SALARY: $40.00/hr

ROLE SUMMARY:
Anheuser-Busch is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manager, Payroll Tax to join our People Business Services department. The Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll tax-related tasks. This position is responsible for overseeing payroll tax compliance, preparing and filing state and federal payroll tax returns, and collaborating with various teams to ensure smooth payroll operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare state and federal payroll tax returns as due (filing frequency includes monthly, quarterly, and annual filings)
  • Ensure funds are correctly disbursed to Federal, state, and local tax authorities.
  • Work closely with payroll processing and support teams to complete processes related to employee data changes, payroll calculations, incentive exercises and tax adjustment reports
  • Partner with corporate tax and local people business partners for accurate reporting and analysis
  • Stay abreast of ever-changing employment tax rules and regulations to maintain compliance
  • Audit the setup of employee master data related to employment taxes
  • Investigate, analyze, and respond to tax inquiries from internal departments, employees and jurisdictions
  • Manage payroll tax requirements for registration of new business acquisitions
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year end tasks related to employment tax
  • Assist in reconciling forms W-2s/W-2Cs, 941/X and state withholding returns
  • Requires flexibility to meet critical deadlines - will include some holiday support
  • Participate in process improvement or project teams for the identification and resolution of process issues


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of business/ financial/payroll experience
  • Flexible work habits and ability to adapt to critical work demands and meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • Demonstrated data accuracy and regulatory compliance is critical
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including advanced Excel and database skills
  • Experienced with SAP, Workday and related HCM payroll systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision/guidance, individually and in teams
