Coordinator of Special Education and Student ServicesLocation: Cheektowaga-Sloan Union Free School District (CSUFSD)
Salary: Minimum $85,000; Actual salary commensurate with experience and credentials

Responsibilities and Skills: - Chair CSE, CPSE, and Section 504 meetings and facilitate effective collaboration among parents, staff, and service providers.
- Assist in ensuring District compliance with Part 200 regulations and supporting the provision of a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) to all eligible students.
- Assist with the student registration process, including addressing residency-related concerns and documentation.
- Serve as a liaison between parents, teachers, administrators, and support staff to promote effective communication and collaborative problem-solving.
- Serve as a resource to teachers and work closely with the Director of Special Education & Student Services regarding student behavioral and educational concerns.
- Coordinate communication and collaboration between teachers and parents to monitor, implement, and modify behavior/educational plans as needed.
- Monitor the implementation of Section 504 Plans and assist in ensuring accommodations are provided consistently and appropriately.
- Assist with the development and submission of grants that support student services and District initiatives.
- Assist with planning and facilitating department meetings.
- Assist with maintaining accurate student services records, data spreadsheets, and related documentation.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned and deemed appropriate by the Director of Special Education & Student Services and/or Superintendent of Schools.
Requirements and Qualifications: - Minimum of 5 years teaching experience and building-based administrative experience preferred.
- Experience in special education and understanding of Part 200 Regulations preferred.
- Valid NYS School Building Leader (SBL) and/or School District Leader (SDL) or SAS or SDA certificate
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
