Job Purpose

The New England Electric Contract Administration & Performance Team manages, supports, and monitors contracts and contractual relationships for outsourced electric construction services across New England. The team partners closely with internal business stakeholders and external contractors to drive operational excellence, contractor performance, commercial governance, and successful delivery of National Grid's capital construction work plan.

The Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting the Contract Administration & Performance team through planning, coordination, stakeholder engagement, and contract relationship management activities with both internal and external stakeholders, helping drive organizational effectiveness, communication, and accountability.

Key Accountabilities

  • Serve as a primary coordinator for contractor relationship management activities by maintaining stakeholder contact information, facilitating communications, and supporting engagement efforts with internal and external partners.
  • Coordinate recurring and ad hoc meetings for the Contract Administration & Performance team, including scheduling, logistics, agenda development, meeting materials, documentation of discussions, decisions, and action items.
  • Coordinate schedules and logistics across multiple stakeholder groups, including executive leadership, construction, procurement, project management, and external contractors.
  • Track completion of action items resulting from stakeholder engagements, contractor meetings, and team initiatives to support accountability and timely execution.
  • Support the administration, execution, and continuous improvement of contract administration and commercial relationship management processes, tools, and frameworks.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for inquiries, directing requests to appropriate Contracts & Commercial team members and facilitating timely resolution.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes, enhance communication, increase meeting effectiveness, and drive operational efficiency.
  • Support special projects, business initiatives, and departmental operations as assigned.
  • Foster productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders by providing professional, responsive, and customer-focused support.


Qualifications

  • Associate's degree required in business, Construction Management, Project Management, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of relevant professional experience; internships, co-ops, or academic project experience in utilities, construction, project coordination, or business administration required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience scheduling meetings and managing calendars across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Proven ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when working with senior leaders and external business partners.
  • valid driver's license with a safe driving history that meets National Grid's Safe Driver policy required.

Salary

$78,000 - $91,000 a year
