Description:

In this role, as Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator, you'll have an opportunity to work closely with the Director of Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacy Lead to continue quality patient care services. You'll provide collaborative pharmaceutical care to patients while working in conjunction with physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals. In addition, you will have a chance to showcase your clinical skills by developing and conducting drug utilization reviews, recommending and/or implementing programs for improving pharmacy resource management to the extent that they will bring about more efficient, safer, or more economical use of drugs. You will have a chance to assist and educate pharmacists, as well as both post-graduate year 1 & 2 residents. While assisting with the pharmacy's quality assurance activities, you'll have a direct hand in ensuring compliance with both patient care and medical practice standards. You will also assist in the coordination of the department's in-service trainings and employee/student education functions, ensuring the maintenance of the staff's skill/education levels.

This is a full time Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator (Pediatrics) day shift position Monday-Friday with clinical on-call responsibilities located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Preferred Criteria:
  • Postgraduate year 2 ASHP-accredited pharmacy residency (Pediatrics).
  • Board of Pharmacy Specialty (BPS) Certification.
  • One to three years of previous experience as a Clinical Pharmacist.


Required Criteria:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
  • New York State licensed and Registered Pharmacist or eligibility for licensure required as a Pharmacist by the State of New York within 3 months of employment.
  • ASHP-accredited Post-Graduate Year One Residency completion.
  • Knowledge in specialty area (Pediatrics)
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to use software programs for word processing and data management

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range:

$157,000-$193,000/Annual
