Lead reliability. Drive performance. Make an impact.

Are you a hands-on maintenance leader who thrives on planning, problem-solving, and improving asset performance? We're looking for a Maintenance Process Lead to take ownership of preventive and predictive maintenance planning, coordinate execution readiness, and help drive reliability across critical assets. In this role, you'll be a key member of the Line Centric Team, supporting safe, efficient, and high-performing operations.

What You'll Do

As the Maintenance Process Lead, you will be responsible for planning and organizing preventive and predictive maintenance activities, coordinating maintenance resources, ensuring required parts are available, and developing both short- and long-term maintenance plans for assigned assets. You'll also maintain accurate maintenance records and support overall asset performance.

Key Responsibilities

Champion Safety Leadership
  • Promote a strong safety culture by leading by example and educating employees on safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct safety audits, ensure compliance, and implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Ensure Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures are followed during planned shutdowns and help identify tasks requiring Safe Work Procedures (SWP).

Own Maintenance Planning and Scheduling
  • Execute planning activities in alignment with the company work management process.
  • Build short- and long-term maintenance plans for assigned assets.
  • Prepare detailed job plans including Job Safety Analyses (JSA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), permits, hazard controls, execution steps, and estimates for time, labour, and materials.
  • Complete planning activities within the CMMS system and maintain supporting documentation such as images and job plans.

Support Work Execution
  • Review and approve notifications and convert them into work orders.
  • Conduct field assessments with the right team members to ensure jobs are execution-ready.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisors and trades, support repair prioritization, and organize maintenance activities during planned shutdowns.
  • Update tasks and standard job plans through established change management processes.

Drive Reliability and Continuous Improvement
  • Participate in Breakdown Elimination (BDE) processes and help develop action plans from Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).
  • Provide feedback to the Reliability Engineer and integrate reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles into planning activities.
  • Gather input from trades teams to continuously improve maintenance processes.

Manage Materials and Inventory Readiness
  • Obtain quotations for parts and external services and create purchase requisitions as needed.
  • Work closely with Procurement and Warehouse teams to ensure parts are available for planned work.
  • Track deliveries, coordinate storage and kitting, and help optimize spare parts inventory to minimize downtime.

Collaborate Across Teams
  • Partner with Operations and other departments to align maintenance priorities with production needs.
  • Maintain an accurate, up-to-date work order backlog and work closely with mechanical, electrical, and reliability teams.

Lead and Influence
  • Oversee day-to-day activities of the Line Centric Maintenance Team and provide active supervision and leadership.
  • Support coverage for the Operations Leader as required and foster strong collaboration across maintenance and operations.

Monitor Performance
  • Track and report line-specific maintenance KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reviews and provide updates on material delivery timelines and purchase orders.

What You Bring
  • 3-5 years of experience in an asset-intensive industry, ideally in a technical leadership role.
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field such as a trade certification, diploma, or degree; equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings and bills of materials.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, and execute work effectively while achieving defined goals and objectives.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong technology skills and comfort navigating multiple software platforms.
