Qualifications

Job Title: Controls Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Brooklyn Park, MN

Pay: $80,000-$100,000

 

The Controls Engineer will be accountable for programming PLC/HMI/Communication of any Kurita America system.  This position requires developing Control Narratives, I/O lists and electrical schematics and writing PLC/HMI programs based on those documents.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Keep on task to meet deadlines.
  • PLC and HMI Program Development, Start-up and Troubleshooting of water treatment systems
  • Develop Control Narratives.
  • Develop I/O Lists from P&ID’s
  • Review Customer System Specifications and complete Master Project List.
  • Minimal travel required to perform troubleshooting, training and start-up support.
  • Work with field services to provide programming support.
  • Work within a budget.
  • Performance of other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Allen Bradley components a plus.
  • Programming background (Allen Bradley preferred).
  • 2 year controls/electrical degree.
  • Minimum 3 years programming experience.
  • Ability to work independently and in a group setting.

 

Physical and Mental requirements:  Being able to do the following in a safe and effective manner:

  • Climbing, ascending, and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and industrial equipment, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
  • Reaching and extending hands and arms in any direction.
  • Standing and walking for sustained periods of time.
  • Pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, and stooping for sustained periods of time.
  • Using upper extremities to move objects and equipment with steady force.
