This activity may include software flashing, data transfer and machine readiness. To perform a test several steps are required and will be provided to the selected applicant. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • The controls engineer will support the validation of several machine platforms. Primary responsibilities will be supporting data collection runs. These runs are essential for documenting machine performance and verifying intended behavior. • The team has specialty areas with respective team leads. The work scope will be provided from the team leads and if assistance is needed the team lead or another engineer will be assigned to assist. The engineer is expected to provide updates to the requesting parties and ensure the requests are met. • In the office 5 days a week, with daily exposure to machines and field testing. We work in all types of weather so dressing for your day is important. Expecting these roles to be more focused on machines and outdoors. • Team is a group of 20 engineers with varying specialties. The team is very supportive of new engineers and spend the necessary time with onboarding which ensures they will be successful. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: • Years of experience: 0-2 years experience at minimum. • Degree requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering preferred REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS: • Detailed planner • Computer skills, Linux is a plus • Problem solver • The expectation is the candidate has knowledge of Ethernet and CAN and is capable of troubleshooting systems. Employee will be required to start data collection and ensure the system is fully functional before beginning data collection. Employee will then be expected to upload the data collected to servers for analysis. The pay range for this role is: 78,000 - 83,000 USD per year (Washington, IL )
