Controller Summary: Seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong accounting background - Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting. 5+ years of experience in the construction industry or a similar field is also highly recommended. A highly personable individual who can integrate with our current team and build off of current processes and responsibilities; providing suggestions and improve procedures in all aspects of the accounting team's responsibilities; managing all aspects of financial and operational reporting, providing timely and accurate financial statements to ownership; goals to help implement and lead the company's budgeting/forecasting processes; collaborating with other departments in the company to seek opportunities to drive business results. Controller Duties and Responsibilities:- Manage daily and monthly accounting activities, including journal entries,
- account reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals, and general ledger maintenance.
- Lead, coordinate, and own the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring
- timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements, supporting schedules, and
- management reporting packages.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.
- Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and
- opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee inventory accounting and year-end valuation.
- Assist with cash management, liquidity planning, bank and treasury relationships.
- Perform and review bank reconciliations and cash activity monitoring.
- Lead annual budget and multi-year forecasting processes.
- Support financial analysis, forecasting, capital projects, financial activities, and other strategic initiatives.
- Prepare audit schedules, supporting documentation, and tax-related workpapers.
- Coordinate annual external audits, tax support, and interaction with external
- auditors and government agencies.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff to ensure accuracy and
- consistency.
- Partner closely with the CFO and the executive leadership team on financial analysis, operational reporting, and strategic initiatives.
- Lead multiple entities' intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and financials.
Controller Supervisory Responsibilities:- Directly assists in the supervision of our accounting department.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities may include, as directed, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Position RequirementsController Qualifications:- Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in finance from an accredited college or university.
- Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- Preferred:
- Master's Degree in finance from an accredited college or university
- 5+ years of experience in the construction industry or a similar field
