Job purposeThe Controller is responsible for helping create structure, accuracy, discipline, and operational visibility across Natura's accounting and financial processes.
This role oversees day-to-day accounting operations while partnering closely with Executive Leadership, Directors, Branch Managers, and the accounting team to improve reporting accuracy, strengthen financial processes, and increase visibility into branch-level financial performance.
The Controller must be able to understand how Natura operates as a business, including labor management, contracts, branch operations, customer onboarding, and service delivery, in order to help identify financial trends, operational gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
This role is highly operational and hands-on, focused on stabilizing and improving accounting infrastructure while helping leadership better understand the financial health of the organization.

Duties and responsibilities1. Accounting Operations & Financial Accuracy- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting processes across the organization
Responsibilities- Improve accuracy, consistency, and discipline within:
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Customer onboarding financial setup
- Contract and billing accuracy
- Branch-level accounting processes
- Identify and correct:
- Data inconsistencies
- Reporting inaccuracies
- Process breakdowns
- Ensure timely and accurate:
- Month-end close
- Financial reporting
- Account reconciliations
- Financial statement preparation
- Create accountability and structure around branch-level financial reporting and documentation
- Support the accounting team in building stronger habits, clearer processes, and consistent follow-through
2. Accounts Receivable & Cash Flow Visibility- Improve visibility and discipline surrounding cash flow and receivables management
Responsibilities- Oversee and improve:
- AR processes
- Collections visibility
- Aging buckets and account management
- Customer payment trends
- Monitor and report on:
- Cash conversion rates
- Days to pay
- Days to discount
- AR under 15 days
- Outstanding balances and collection trends
- Identify operational or contractual issues contributing to AR challenges
- Partner with internal teams to improve communication, documentation, and accountability around receivables
3. Operational Financial Partnership- Partner with the Director of Service Operations and Branch Managers to improve financial understanding and operational accountability
Responsibilities- Review branch P&Ls regularly to identify:
- Labor trends
- Replacement margin trends
- Operational inefficiencies
- Financial anomalies or concerns
- Understand how branch operations directly impact:
- Revenue
- Labor costs
- AR/AP performance
- Profitability
- Provide operational insight into:
- Branch performance
- Financial trends
- Areas requiring correction or improvement
- Support leadership in understanding the "why" behind financial performance, not just the numbers themselves
- Help connect accounting data to operational decision-making in a clear and practical way
4. Financial Reporting & Visibility- Build and improve reporting visibility across the organization
Responsibilities- Develop consistent:
- Daily financial visibility
- Weekly reporting structures
- Monthly financial reporting and KPI dashboards
- Improve leadership visibility into:
- Branch financial performance
- Margin trends
- Cash flow performance
- Operational financial health

5. Process Improvement & Organizational Discipline- Identify areas requiring improvement and communicate clear recommendations to leadership
Responsibilities- Evaluate existing accounting and financial processes to identify:
- Gaps
- Inefficiencies
- Scalability concerns
- Develop recommendations for:
- Process improvements
- Reporting structure improvements

- Partner with the Executive Team and department leaders to:

6. Compliance, Banking & Financial Administration- Support key financial administrative responsibilities and external financial relationships
Responsibilities- Coordinate and support:

- CPA relationships
- Banking relationships
- Insurance administration

- Asset management and schedules
- Enterprise-level accounting administration
- Ensure compliance and organization across all financial documentation and reporting
- Maintain accurate records and support clean, organized financial administration
- Escalate concerns, gaps, or risks to leadership in a timely and professional manner
7. Technology, Innovation & AI- Support innovation and continuous improvement within accounting and finance processes

Required Experience & SkillsMust-Haves- Strong accounting experience with increasing responsibility
- Experience in accounting leadership, team supervision, or informal team leadership
- Strong understanding of AR/AP processes and financial reporting
- Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Ability to analyze branch, department, or operational P&Ls
- Strong operational and business acumen
- Ability to identify trends and operational impacts within financials
- Experience improving accounting processes, documentation, or structure
- Strong communication and leadership skills

Preferred Experience- Service-based or multi-location operational business experience
- Experience working closely with operational leaders

- CPA or CPA track preferred, but not required
- Experience in a growing company where processes are still being built or improved
