Responsibilities

  • Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for strategic insights

  • Liaise with external auditors, preparing necessary schedules and documentation

Full Job Description
Specific Job Functions:

  • Assist in overseeing all accounting functions including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Asset and Bank Reconciliation
  • Supervise in preparation and review of monthly, quarter and yearly financial statements
  • Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies, GAAP, and regulatory requirements
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, providing insights for strategic decision-making
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including workload allocation, performance feedback, and professional development
  • Serve as a liaison with external auditors, preparing schedules and documentation for audits
  • Provide technical support for accounting software, spreadsheets, and databases, ensuring accurate data management
  • Assist with billing, tax & licenses documentation preparation
  • Assume duties of Controller in their absence
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Perform any duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Master's degree or Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license preferred
  • At least two years management or supervisory experience required
  • Knowledge of account reconciliations a must
  • Strong analytical abilities necessary
  • Be flexible and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Must have, or be able to obtain, Gaming Registration
  • Professional appearance and demeanor a must
