Full Job Description
About the role

As Controller, you will own our accounting foundation and financial integrity. You will lead the monthly close, technical accounting, compliance, and core finance operations that enable fast, confident decisions. You will partner closely with the CEO, RevOps, and cross-functional leaders to ensure our numbers are accurate, timely, and decision-ready. This role reports to the CEO and manages our external accounting partners and contractors.

What You'll Do

  • Technical accounting: Establish and maintain policies for revenue recognition.
  • Controls and compliance: Design and operate internal controls across order to cash, procure to pay, and record to report.
  • Revenue operations alignment: Partner with sales and RevOps to ensure accurate quoting, billing, and collections. Implement pricing and discount governance within systems and policies.
  • Order to cash: Oversee invoicing, accounts receivable, collections, and credit. Improve DSO and cash predictability.
  • Procure to pay: Implement vendor onboarding, approval workflows, contract and renewal calendars, and spend controls that reduce leakage and shadow IT.
  • Payroll and equity: Ensure accurate multi-jurisdiction payroll and benefits accounting. Maintain cap table hygiene and stock-based compensation accounting in coordination with legal and HR.
  • Systems and data: Uplevel our ERP and related tools. Lead or support a NetSuite or similar ERP implementation. Ensure financial data is the source of truth across billing, CRM, and BI.
  • Treasury and cash: Maintain cash forecasting, banking administration, and payment controls. Optimize vendor terms and support investment policy recommendations.
  • Budget vs actuals enablement: Provide clean actuals, dimensions, and reconciliations that enable forecasting, monthly budget vs actuals, and unit economics analyses.
  • Strategic projects: Support fundraising diligence, pricing and packaging changes, partnerships, and potential debt facilities.
What you will bring
  • 5+ plus years in accounting and finance.
  • CPA or equivalent strongly preferred. Public accounting foundation helpful.
  • Mastery of US GAAP and ASC 606. Exposure to IFRS and multi-entity or cross-border operations is a plus.
  • Proven ownership of a fast monthly close, financial statements, and audit preparation.
  • Systems savvy. Advanced Excel or Google Sheets. Experience with ERP such as NetSuite or QuickBooks.
  • Process builder mindset. Ability to design lightweight processes that scale, with strong documentation and communication skills.
