The Controller will oversee the company's accounting operations while playing a strategic role in financial modeling, analysis, forecasting, and performance management. This leader will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, maintain internal controls, and provide executive leadership with actionable insights to drive growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead all accounting operations, including A/P, A/R, payroll, and general ledger management.
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other applicable regulations.
• Manage internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Coordinate and manage audits with external auditors.
• Support tax preparation and filing activities.
• Provide financial insights to leadership for strategic decision-making.
• Implement and optimize accounting systems and procedures.
- Develop, maintain, and present detailed financial models to evaluate business performance, support strategic initiatives, and assess potential investments
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis on revenue trends, cost structures, cash flow, and profitability drivers.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes, identifying risks, opportunities, and recommendations.
• Partner with department leaders to evaluate business initiatives, capital investments, and cost optimization opportunities using data-driven insights.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CFA or CMA preferred but not required).
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Experience processing payroll (Paylocity preferred).
• Complex Payroll Issue resolution.
• Point person for HR issues and questions (full time HR Generalist reports to this position)
• Proven track record in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), including building and maintaining complex financial models.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting/ERP systems software.
- Experience in Sage Intacct preferred but not required.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
