Full Job Description
What you'll do
  • Own the financial close process for one of Atoms' operating businesses, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close, balance-sheet integrity, and account reconciliations
  • Lead accounting operations, internal controls, and financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP, ensuring audit readiness and a strong working relationship with external auditors
  • Build and maintain scalable accounting policies, processes, and systems, including ERP and close tooling, driving automation and process improvements as the business grows
  • Manage accounting across multiple entities, business lines, and geographies, establishing consistent standards while meeting local statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Partner closely with business leadership, FP&A/Strategic Finance, Technical Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and the Global Entity & Consolidation Controller to support company decisions
  • Build and develop a scalable accounting organization, and support the business through growth initiatives such as acquisitions, new legal entities, and geographic expansion

What we're looking for
  • CPA required
  • 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a foundation in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and in-house experience at a high-growth technology company
  • Proven ability to own the full accounting agenda for a complex business, including close, controls, balance-sheet integrity, reporting, and audit readiness
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, with the ability to independently research and resolve complex or judgmental accounting matters
  • Experience managing accounting across multiple entities, business lines, or geographies with different operating models
  • Strong systems fluency (e.g., NetSuite or a similar ERP), with a track record of driving process automation and efficiency
  • Ability to build accounting infrastructure, policies, and controls in a new, rapidly scaling, or previously underdeveloped business, and to bring consistency to fragmented processes while accommodating legitimate local differences
  • Comfort operating hands-on with limited infrastructure, incomplete information, and changing priorities, while developing scalable solutions over time
  • Strong cross-functional partnership skills, with the ability to translate operational activity into sound accounting processes and communicate clearly with business leaders and auditors
  • Track record of building and developing high-performing accounting teams, clarifying responsibilities, strengthening leadership capability, and raising the performance bar across a team

The base salary range for this role is $320,000 - $380,000 per year.

Actual compensation will be determined on an individual basis and may vary depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package. You may also be eligible for equity awards and an annual performance-based bonus.
