Full Job Description
The Contracts Specialist supports the Northeast region's success by drafting, reviewing, and helping negotiate consultant contracts and related modifications. This role facilitates contract execution, tracks insurance compliance, maintains contract records and databases, and serves as a resource for project teams on Perkins&Will contract processes, templates, and policies. The Contracts Specialist also communicates with clients, consultants, and contractors to confirm status, answer questions, and help keep projects moving smoothly.

Locations: Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington D.C.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the overall success of the office by adhering to firm and project goals.
  • Drafts, reviews and assists with the negotiation of consultant contracts and related modifications.
  • Facilitates execution of consultant contracts.
  • Identifies potential contract risks/issues and escalates to Legal for resolution.
  • Audits and updates executed contract copies in required locations (internal project folders, marketing system, and Deltek Vision/Vantage).
  • Assists Project Managers in understanding the Perkins&Will contract process and locations of templates, policies and other resources.
  • Sends correspondence/communicates with clients, consultants & GC (confirming contract status, emailing comments, answering questions, etc.).
  • Tracks insurance compliance for active consultant contracts and requesting updated certificates as needed.
  • Query project planning system to find new projects for tracking.
  • Manages and maintains contracts database/status log.
  • Reports contract status to project managers regularly.
  • Assists PM/Principals in creating consultant agreements and/or Owner/Architect agreements using AIA software.

Education

  • A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required


Salary Range Information
