Full Job Description
Responsible for all cash management activities in North America, with special focus on minimizing costs, maximizing efficiency and continuously improving treasury management processes in North America. Supports enforcement of Corporate Treasury policies and maintains a database of exceptions granted.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
- Bank Account Management:
- Responsible for systems administration for all online banking systems in North America
- Act as primary Amcor contact for all US treasury services issues with banks' treasury services
- Treasury Systems Management
- Responsible for maintenance of Corporate Treasury's SharePoint site
- Daily Cash Management:
- Using Reval Treasury Workstation (TWS), reconcile bank statements with expected treasury position
- Support accounting reconciliation of GL accounts associated with bank accounts
- Review cash needs and issue or repay commercial paper, and invest surplus
- Initiate or approve wire transfers as requested by Accounts Payable
- Buy or sell foreign currencies as needed
- Deposit checks or cash as necessary.
- Support Amcor's Global Business Services group to ensure proper flow of information, proper cash application of collections and timely payments. Propose and support required changes to treasury management services to automate and enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare various daily treasury reports, including Commercial Paper position
- Prepare 10-day expected cash position and CP borrowing balance
- FX & Exposure Management:
- Calculate and enter North American FX exposures
- Support analysis of global FX exposures
- Netting
- Coordinate netting calendars and communication
- Enter in TWS inter-co payable information for North America, or monitor ERP interfaces
- Support calculation of global netting results, execution of FX trades and settlements
- Support communication of netting results to entities and ERPs
- Policies
- Coordinate exception requests and approval workflow
- Maintain exception database
- Bank Fees:
- Analyze fees paid for U.S. bank services on a monthly basis to verify accuracy.
- Prepare annual summary of bank fees to support global bank relationship management.
- Treasury Reports:
- Generate monthly reporting using information from the Treasury Workstation for each region of the world.
- Reporting includes: cash collection and payments, cash balances and investments, debt balances, hedged positions and interest rates, corporate debt instruments, interest rate swaps, bank contact information, bank relationships and services by business unit, government grants and covenants, stock buyback status, shareholder listing, and other treasury related information.
- Update Treasury workstation with any new grants, guarantees, inter-co loans, etc
- Treasury Forecast
- On a bi-weekly basis, prepare a 13-week cash flow forecast for North America and enter it in the Treasury Workstation. This activity requires communication with various competencies, such as HR/Payroll, Tax, A/R, A/P, business groups, etc.
- Work with Global Treasury Analyst to consolidate global cash flow forecast, coordinate actuals vs. forecast reviews and maintain global processes (e.g. calendars, feedback)
- Prepare quarterly Commercial Paper forecast and enter forecast in credit rating agencies websites
- Support corporate Balance Sheet and Cash Flows forecasts
- Flash Reporting
- Estimate month-end interest income and expense, cash pool results, and debt related amortizations
- Estimate month-end Bank Fees
- Global Cash Flow from Operations Analysis
- Prepare a detailed monthly analysis of cash flow from operations for each business unit and corporate that reconciles to Amcor monthly financial statements and provides detailed analysis versus plan and prior year for discussions with each business unit management team.
- Prepare analysis of cash flow metrics by business unit
- Compliance
- Calculate compliance with covenants in our credit facilities
- Support compliance with Dodd-Frank, EMIR and FATCA regulations
- Pension Plans:
- Prepare monthly funding status report and rebalancing proposals using data provided by actuaries and in compliance with strategy designed by pension consultants.
- Execute rebalancing transactions with pension trustee as necessary, including communicating directly with investment managers to plan cash availability and prompt reinvestment of pension assets.
- Other Projects, including:
- Support review of Supplier Financing programs, equipment leases to customers, lease vs buy analysis, inter-company loans, etc.
- Represents treasury department with regard to planning and implementation of Global Business Services and Finance process improvements that impact banking/payment and valuations systems.

- Experience with Hyperion and SAP highly preferred.

- Multiple language capability is preferred, but not required
WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or Economics, Accounting.
- Certified Treasury Professional is preferred.
- 1-3 years previous experience in treasury or finance role;
- Previous experience in manufacturing industry is desired.
