SummaryThe Contract Technical Recruiter is responsible for identifying, engaging, assessing, and delivering high-quality technical talent across Rackspace Technology's evolving talent needs. This role will support hiring across a broad range of technical domains, including Cloud, Infrastructure, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Data Engineering, Networking, Security, DevOps/SRE, Software Engineering, and other emerging technology skill sets.
The successful candidate will be a consultative talent partner who combines strong technical recruiting expertise with market intelligence, proactive sourcing, and disciplined recruiting execution. This individual will partner closely with hiring managers, business leaders, HR, and Talent Acquisition colleagues to understand workforce requirements, translate complex technical needs into effective recruiting strategies, and build diverse pipelines of highly qualified talent.
This role requires the ability to recruit in competitive and rapidly changing technical markets while delivering an exceptional candidate and hiring-manager experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with hiring managers to understand technical requirements, business objectives, team structures, target talent profiles, and critical success factors for each search.
- Manage full life-cycle recruitment process, from sourcing and screening to interview coordination and offer negotiation, ensuring a fanatical experience for all future Rackers.
- Build strong talent pipelines across all technical disciplines
- Establish and maintain productive partnerships with business partners, advising and educating hiring teams on talent acquisition best practices.
- Maintain quality data, detailing records of candidate interactions and progress via ATS, HRIS, and sourcing tools.
- Utilize advanced sourcing techniques, including Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, professional communities, technical networks, referrals, internal talent pools, and other relevant platforms.
- Deliver a professional, transparent, responsive, and engaging candidate experience throughout the recruiting process.
- Effectively communicate Rackspace Technology's value proposition, culture, career opportunities, technology capabilities, and customer impact to prospective candidates.
- Maintain accurate and timely candidate and requisition information within the applicant tracking system and associated recruiting technologies.
- Follow established recruiting processes, documentation standards, data privacy requirements, and applicable employment regulations.
- Use recruiting data and metrics to evaluate funnel effectiveness, sourcing performance, candidate conversion, aging, and time-to-fill.
Qualifications- Demonstrated experience recruiting technical talent in a corporate, RPO, staffing, consulting, managed services, or technology environment.
- Strong experience recruiting across multiple technical disciplines rather than a single technology specialization.
- Proven ability to source and engage passive technical candidates in competitive talent markets.
- Working knowledge of cloud computing, infrastructure, AI/ML, data engineering, networking, DevOps/SRE, software engineering, or related technology domains.
- Ability to understand technical terminology and effectively distinguish between different engineering, architecture, operations, consulting, and technical delivery profiles.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple requisitions and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong stakeholder-management and consultative recruiting skills.
- Experience conducting structured candidate assessments and presenting qualified candidates to hiring teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, sourcing platforms, and recruiting technologies. Workday Recruiting preferred.
- Experience using AI-enabled recruiting, sourcing, or talent intelligence tools
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets. The compensation range for this position ranges from $78,074.00/year in our lowest geographic market up to 114,546.30 USD/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
