Role description

You are:

A Contract Manager who will support the customer contracts function in the United States, Canada, and Latin America for UST.

The Opportunity:
  • Review, redline, and process English language technology contracts in accordance with company policies
  • Obtain feedback on draft English language contracts from various stakeholders and provide consolidated comments to relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure that only fully approved customer contracts are routed for signature
  • Process fully approved English language contracts for signature and maintain executed agreements in repository or CLM
  • Perform administrative duties including creating, preparing, proofreading, verifying and editing material for accuracy and clarity
  • Understand and provide administrative support work for complex business-related legal documents
  • Proactively assist attorneys and/or paralegals/contract managers in responding to various commercial matters as they come in
  • Manage and support customer contracts from inception to post signature in the Contracts Legal Management (CLM) tool, including, but not limited to, providing timely assistance in the review, drafting, signing, filing, and extraction of customer contracts
  • Train internal customers on company contracting processes and procedures
  • Establish and main filing systems, classify, sort and file contracts
  • Utilize advanced computer skills to review, redline, revise, and finalize a variety of commercial agreements and other forms
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders in different departments to ensure compliance with company policy in all customer contracts

What you need:
  • At least 5 years' experience in English language corporate legal department, preferably in customer contracts
  • Superior writing and oral communication skills in English
  • Experience in corporate legal department supporting the contracting function in the United States and Canada in English is critical
  • Experience working with various jurisdictions, such as, the United States, Canada, other Latin American countries, India, United Kingdom, and Spain.
  • Excellent attention to detail with ability to multi-task
  • Must be self-motivated and able to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Must have the ability to work as part of a team, as well as work independently
  • Work with diverse groups and reach consensus
  • Able to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Able to adapt to new technology
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, DocuSign, Adobe, etc.
  • Excellent people skills, including good judgment and tact


Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Remote

Compensation Range: $114,000-171,000

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

Part-time employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) program with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
