This position is contingent upon contract award.


Overview
  • The Contract Manager serves as the primary liaison between the contractor and the Government, holding full authority to act on all daily operational matters related to the contract.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the performance of all contract work and direct the contractor workforce.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Contracting Officer (CO) and the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
  • Be available within 30 minutes during normal duty hours, and within 2 hours after normal duty hours, to resolve problem areas.
  • Ensure quality control and prepare/sign performance evaluation meeting minutes.
  • Manage employee onboarding, ensuring completion of conflict of interest forms, non-disclosure agreements, and facility safety courses.
  • Day-to-day supervision of staff team performance

Required:
  • BS/BA in relevant fields
  • More than 5 years program management experience supporting a science-oriented organization
  • Proven track record of supervising more than 10 staff
  • Previous working experience in a similar environment
  • PMP preferred
Preferred:
  • Previous experience at NOAA, NASA, NSF, or an agency with strong science missions
  • Graduate degree in a relevant field
