Introduction

We are looking for a Contract Manager to join our North and Central America (NCA) Legal team. In this role, you will support the Contract Speed Stop initiative by managing contract intake, conducting initial contract reviews, and coordinating the end-to-end contract lifecycle process across Canada, the United States, and Mexico. Your work will help ensure contracts are reviewed efficiently, risks are identified early, and commercial agreements are executed in a timely and compliant manner. You will report to the Senior Legal Counsel, North and Central America.

This role is based in Montreal, Quebec, with hybrid working options available.

This role may require travel up to 25%.

You will join a collaborative team of legal and contract management professionals focused on supporting commercial operations across North and Central America. Our team plays a critical role in enabling business growth by helping manage contractual risk, supporting commercial negotiations, and ensuring effective contract lifecycle management across the region.

We collaborate closely with legal counsel, sales teams, proposal managers, operations leaders, and other business stakeholders throughout Canada, the United States, and Mexico. What you'll do

  • Serve as the primary intake point for contractual requests within North and Central America, ensuring matters are properly prioritized and routed.
  • Conduct initial reviews of customer contracts, purchase orders, amendments, non-disclosure agreements, and other commercial agreements to identify contractual risks and escalation needs.
  • Coordinate the contract lifecycle process from intake through execution, ensuring timely stakeholder engagement and contract progression.
  • Partner with legal counsel, sales, proposal, and operations teams to support contract reviews, negotiations, and risk mitigation activities.
  • Manage contract execution processes, including approvals, signatures, document distribution, and records management.
  • Maintain and enhance contract management systems, repositories, templates, workflows, and related tools.
  • Assist in developing contract playbooks, standard language, reporting metrics, and process improvements that increase efficiency and consistency.
  • Support strategic commercial initiatives, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSAs), and other customer contract structures.


What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree, paralegal certification, legal studies, business degree, contract management certification, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in contract management, contract administration, legal operations, commercial operations, procurement, proposal management, or a related field.
  • Experience reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and administering commercial agreements and customer contracts.
  • Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management processes, contractual risk allocation, and common commercial contract terms.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with a service-oriented approach to supporting cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and contract management, document management, or workflow systems.
  • Fluency in English (written, verbal, and reading comprehension) is required
  • French and Spanish language skills are strongly preferred.

Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on skills, experience, and role-related qualifications.
