POSITION SUMMARY: The Contracts Manager works closely with the Group Contracts Team and reports to the VP, Commercial (North America). This role is responsible for processing assigned bids and tenders, as well as overseeing the delivery of customer contracts once orders are received. The Contracts Manager ensures the successful execution of all contractual commitments and serves as a key point of coordination throughout the contract lifecycle.

WHAT YOU WILL DO: - Ensure all teams involved in contract execution understand their deliverables, have the capability to meet them, and stay on schedule.
- Identify potential risks early and address them through negotiation, facilitation, or escalation to ensure full mitigation.
- Understand customer requirements and respond promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction, managing expectations effectively.
- Prepare detailed bus contract specifications to meet key contract milestones.
- Organize and lead pre-production meetings, reviews, and cross-functional specification discussions.
- Distribute customer specifications and updates internally to ensure alignment across departments.
- Manage customer-requested changes, ensuring accurate cost capture and approval before commitments are made.
- Support first-vehicle sign-off processes and coordinate customer factory visits to ensure a positive experience.
- Oversee product quality and service delivery for up to 28 days after factory delivery
- Attend customer sites to support contract handovers.
- Resolve quality issues identified through ADL or customer Project Delivery Inspection processes until fully resolved.
- Assess new bid solicitations, evaluate compatibility with ADL products, review engineering responses, develop pricing strategies, prepare bid documents, and participate in customer negotiations.
- Maintain a clear understanding of all contract commitments and key stages of the execution process to ensure seamless delivery.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: - Strong ERP/MRP system experience, ideally at a Super User level.
- Post-secondary education in Business or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a commercial, contract, or project management related role.
- Experience within the manufacturing or engineering sector (bus, automotive, aerospace) is highly desirable.
- Background in Engineering or Sales, or strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand product offerings and specifications.
- Demonstrated capability managing customer relationships and leading customer-facing discussions.
- Ability to provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of commercial terms, pricing structures, and the financial impact of contract decisions.
Physical & Workplace Requirements: - Up to 10% travel required.
- Must be eligible to travel to Canada and the U.S.
- Flexibility to adjust work hours to support multiple time zones
