Location: Twinsburg, OH (Hybrid, 3 days on-site)

Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 base compensation 

 

Technology and disciplined vendor management are critical to how Great Day Improvements operates at scale. The Contract Administrator plays a key role in strengthening financial discipline, vendor accountability, and operational rigor by establishing a structured, proactive approach to contract lifecycle management across the enterprise, beginning with Enterprise Technology & Intelligence (ETI).

 

Job Summary:

 

The Technology Contract and Operations Manager is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of technology vendor, software, cloud, managed services, and professional services contracts across the Enterprise Technology & Intelligence organization.

 

This role serves as the primary owner of technology contract governance, contract administration, contract risk review, renewal management, vendor accountability, and commercial contract management across ETI. The position serves as a trusted business partner to ETI leadership by identifying contractual, financial, operational, cybersecurity, and commercial risks and providing practical recommendations that support informed business decisions.

 

The role requires a strong contract administration and paralegal-oriented background with substantial experience reviewing commercial agreements, negotiating vendor terms, managing renewals, supporting vendor relationships, and interpreting contract language for business leaders.

 

In addition to contract management responsibilities, the position supports ETI business operations through budgeting, vendor spend reporting, operational planning, leadership reporting, and strategic initiative tracking. The role also provides limited support to the Chief Technology and Information Officer through executive reporting, presentation development, meeting preparation, and action-item tracking.

 

Success in this role is measured by contract visibility, disciplined renewal management, reduced risk exposure, cost savings, stronger vendor performance, and effective operational support across ETI.

 

Responsibilities Technology Contract Management (70%) Contract Governance and Administration
  • Establish and maintain a centralized repository of all ETI contracts, software agreements, cloud subscriptions, managed services agreements, statements of work, and vendor documentation.
  • Maintain complete contract records including contract owners, renewal dates, notice periods, spend commitments, service levels, and termination requirements.
  • Develop and maintain contract governance processes, standards, and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready contract records.
Contract Review and Risk Assessment
  • Conduct contract reviews and provide business recommendations, escalating complex legal matters to counsel when appropriate.
  • Review vendor agreements, amendments, statements of work, renewals, and related contract documentation.
  • Analyze contractual terms and identify business, operational, financial, cybersecurity, privacy, and commercial risks.
  • Evaluate contract provisions including:
    • Indemnification
    • Limitation of liability
    • Confidentiality
    • Data ownership
    • Data privacy and security obligations
    • Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
    • Pricing protections
    • Renewal provisions
    • Termination rights
    • Audit rights
    • Insurance requirements
  • Prepare executive summaries, contract abstracts, and risk assessments for ETI leadership.
  • Provide contract guidance and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Partner with legal counsel on complex contractual matters when appropriate.
Vendor Management and Renewals
  • Maintain proactive renewal calendars with notifications beginning at least six months before contract expiration.
  • Lead contract renewal coordination activities across ETI.
  • Support contract negotiations and commercial discussions with vendors.
  • Work with stakeholders to determine whether contracts should be renewed, renegotiated, consolidated, replaced, or terminated.
  • Prevent unintended renewals and provide executive visibility into contract decisions.
  • Maintain vendor performance scorecards and contract compliance tracking.
  • Develop productive working relationships with key technology vendors and service providers.
Cost Optimization and Commercial Management
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs, eliminate redundant services, and optimize vendor spending.
  • Track pricing commitments, escalators, discounts, credits, penalties, and contractual obligations.
  • Support annual budgeting and forecasting activities related to technology vendors.
  • Document cost savings, avoided spend, and negotiated commercial improvements.
ETI Business Operations (20%) Business and Operational Support
  • Support ETI budgeting, vendor spend tracking, contract reporting, and operational planning activities.
  • Maintain reporting related to technology contracts, renewals, vendor performance, and technology expenditures.
  • Track ETI strategic initiatives, key milestones, deliverables, and leadership action items.
  • Prepare leadership dashboards, presentations, scorecards, and operational reporting materials.
  • Coordinate vendor review meetings, contract discussions, and leadership communications.
  • Maintain departmental documentation, reporting artifacts, and operational records.
  • Support annual planning, budgeting, and vendor review processes.
Executive Support to the CTIO (10%) Strategic and Administrative Support
  • Prepare executive reports, presentations, briefing materials, and leadership communications.
  • Coordinate leadership meetings and document decisions, action items, and follow-up activities.
  • Track strategic initiatives and assignments directed by the CTIO.
  • Assist in preparing board materials, vendor presentations, business cases, and executive briefings.
  • Support special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by the CTIO.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience reviewing, negotiating, and administering commercial contracts in legal operations, contract management, vendor management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience managing software licensing, SaaS, cloud, managed services, and technology vendor agreements.
  • Experience reviewing software licensing, SaaS subscription, cloud services, managed services, statements of work, and professional services agreements.
  • Strong understanding of commercial contract terms including indemnification, limitation of liability, confidentiality, service levels, renewal provisions, termination rights, and pricing protections.
  • Ability to analyze contract language and identify commercial, financial, operational, and legal risks.
  • Ability to interpret contract language and provide practical business recommendations.
  • Experience building renewal calendars, contract repositories, governance processes, or contract lifecycle management programs.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple contracts, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with technology, finance & accounting, legal, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Paralegal certificate, Legal Studies degree, or equivalent contract management experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting vendor negotiations and commercial contract discussions.
  • Experience working with legal counsel on commercial contract reviews.
  • Experience in technology, SaaS, cloud, software licensing, managed services, or cybersecurity environments.
  • Familiarity with technology risk, privacy, and data protection requirements commonly found in vendor agreements.
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms.
  • Experience supporting CIOs, CTOs, or senior technology leadership teams.
  • Experience with project portfolio management, ITSM platforms, governance reporting, or technology business operations.
  • Experience using AI tools for contract review and analysis.
