Job Summary: The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for evaluating work processes to determine strategies and programs which provide greater productivity and efficiency of company functions by performing the following duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze manufacturing and administrative processes using data (material flow, cycle times, labor utilization, downtime, scrap, cost, and information flow) to identify and implement improvements that increase safety, throughput, quality, and efficiency.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts across all functions of the business using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methods (A3, Kaizen, value stream mapping, root cause analysis).
  • Identify, develop, and implement automation, digital solutions, and emerging AI tools to improve productivity, consistency, and decision-making in engineering, operations, and administrative processes.
  • Support manufacturing automation initiatives-including equipment, controls, robotics, vision systems, and digital production tools-in collaboration with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and IT.
  • Utilize SolidWorks and 3D printing to rapidly design and deploy fixtures, visual controls, organizational tools, and point-of-use solutions that support Kaizen, standard work, and 6S efforts.
  • Lead cross-functional improvement and automation projects by coordinating teams, managing timelines and resources, and ensuring effective execution and sustainment.
  • Train, coach, and mentor employees on continuous improvement principles, standard work, and the effective use of automation and digital tools.
  • Drive change management for process, layout, equipment, and technology changes, ensuring adoption, compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and sustained performance improvements.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering related field preferred.
  • Four-year degree required.
  • Lean Flex-Flow Master - Preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt - Preferred.
  • Automation, controls, data analytics, or digital transformation-related certifications are a plus.

Physical Requirements:
  • Routinely lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception.
  • Routinely reach with hands and arms and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Frequently required to stand and walk.
