Full Job Description
The Role

Linktree is hiring a Content Studio Lead to build and lead the creator-first creative system behind our owned content. This is a player-coach role: you will set the creative direction and build the studio's roster, systems, and standards, while also rolling up your sleeves to develop concepts, direct creator capture, and produce or edit first-pass work when needed. You will define how creators are used creatively across channels, turn strategic briefs into clear creator and production briefs, and direct the work from initial concept through creator capture and final asset.

You'll set the creative bar for the studio and translate audience insights and performance data into creative that resonates with Linkers and delivers measurable results. Rather than inheriting a finished studio, you will help build it from the ground up. Early on, that means personally creating and prototyping some of the work. As the model matures, you will scale execution through a flexible roster of creators, writers, producers, editors, and specialist contractors while remaining close enough to the work to maintain a high creative bar.

What You'll Own

  • Creator-led content flywheel: Build and lead the process from audience insight and channel brief, to creator concept and briefing, to creator-supplied content, studio polish, publishing, and performance learning. Make creator voice and real-world proof the default starting point for social creative, with brand-led content used intentionally.
  • Creative direction and brand consistency: Set and uphold the creative standards for everything the studio produces, ensuring it reinforces Linktree's product vision and business objectives.
  • Design systems and templates: Lead the development and ongoing refresh of Linktree's creative design and motion system for social and content. Create repeatable templates that improve speed and consistency while allowing each channel and series to retain a distinct identity.
  • Insight-to-creative translation: Turn audience insights and performance data into creative concepts and campaigns that resonate with Linkers and drive measurable results.
  • Studio building, leadership, and resourcing: Build and direct the Content Studio's core disciplines, establish clear ways of working, and flex the creator roster and specialist bench to match quarterly priorities and production needs.
  • Cross-team creative alignment: Coordinate with other internal creative teams so all work stays consistent, on-brand, and non-duplicative across the business.
  • Creative quality and brand stewardship: Set the final creative bar for authenticity, storytelling, brand consistency, platform fit, and production quality. Give clear, actionable feedback that strengthens the work without overproducing creator-led content.
  • Breakthrough creative: Lead larger creative swings and tentpole concepts that sit outside the always-on system, bringing in specialist or external support when the opportunity requires it.

Who We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in creative direction, brand creative, or content production, including experience creating, leading, or directing teams and/or a roster of freelance talent.
  • A strong understanding of the creator economy and how creators, customers, operators, and experts can serve as storytellers not simply talent appearing in brand content.
  • Comfort moving between setting the creative vision, giving feedback, and stepping directly into the work when a prototype, fast response, or production gap requires it.
  • Experience developing creator concepts, writing creator briefs, directing creator talent, and turning raw creator material into polished branded content.
  • Strong judgment about when content needs more polish and when added production would weaken its authenticity.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary contractors, freelance talent, creative agencies, or flexible production rosters.
  • The ability to direct copy, design, motion, and video while maintaining a clear and consistent creative standard.
  • Experience building creative systems, templates, playbooks, and repeatable formats that improve speed without making every asset feel the same.
  • Fluency in how creative should differ across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Threads, and long-form formats.
  • Outstanding communication and feedback skills, with the ability to align internal leads, creators, and distributed production partners around a shared vision.
  • Proven ability to translate insights and data into creative concepts, rather than working from brief alone.
  • Strong creative taste and judgment, and a track record of being an effective brand steward across multiple content formats.

Why This Role, Why Now

  • Creators should power the majority of our creative output. Our strongest content begins with real voices, experiences, and proof. This role will turn that advantage into a deliberate, repeatable production model rather than relying on one-off creator opportunities.
  • We need consistency without sameness. Each channel has a different audience, role, and creative language. This person will build the guidelines and systems that keep Linktree recognizable while allowing the work to feel native wherever it appears.
  • Flexible capacity with internal ownership. The contractor studio can scale up or down with business needs, while the creative vision, templates, source files, standards, and learning remain inside Linktree.
  • High autonomy, high visibility. You will define how the Content Studio operates, how creators fuel the work, who joins the roster, and how Linktree's content comes to life across its most visible owned channels.

Linktree is committed to providing a fair and competitive compensation package including cash, equity, and benefits. The base salary offered for this role is targeted at $160,000-$180,000 for roles based in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Final offers depend on multiple factors including location, experience, expertise, and role scope, and may vary from the range listed.

P.S. If you don't tick every box in this listing, please don't rule yourself out. We take pride in inclusion and hiring incredible human beings with great potential over ticking boxes - so if this role resonates with you, hit that apply button!
