This is a hybrid role for someone who lives in the Grand Rapids area and can routinely shoot at a client's in-office studio. You'll work closely with account teams and clients to pitch ideas, run shoots, and deliver finished assets optimized for social and digital channels.

  • Client Collaboration: Present concepts to clients, incorporate feedback, and iterate until approved.
  • Production: Plan and execute on-location shoots at the client's in-office studio - including shot lists, scheduling, talent direction, lighting, and audio.
  • Post-production: Edit video and photo assets for multiple platforms (short-form vertical, horizontal, static assets), including color correction, motion graphics, and sound design as needed.
  • Platform Optimization: Deliver social- and platform-specific versions (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, paid assets), ensuring best practices for format and audience.
  • Asset Management & Reporting: Organize deliverables, maintain version control, and provide performance insights or post-mortem notes where applicable.
  • Cross-functional teamwork: Coordinate with account leads, designers, copywriters, and external vendors to meet deadlines and maintain brand consistency.
What you need to be great in this role:
  • Must live in the Grand Rapids metro area and be available to shoot at the client's in-office studio.
  • 2+ years professional experience producing content for brands or agencies (photography + video experience strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to conceive original, timely content ideas and communicate them clearly to clients.
  • Proficient with camera operation, lighting, on-set production, and directing talent.
  • Strong editing skills in Adobe Suite, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar; basic motion/graphics skills in After Effects or equivalent.
  • Solid understanding of social platforms and best practices for video and still content (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and comfortable presenting to clients.
  • Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and timelines.
  • At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $97,750 to $109,250.
