This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the selected candidate is expected to report to a specific location at least 3 times a week (or other frequency dictated by their manager)

The Role:

Lead the design and execution of global packaging and returnable container strategies that reducecost, improve efficiency, and advance sustainability goals. Your work will directlyimpactoperational performance and environmental stewardship across our supply chain.hisrole offers the opportunity tooptimizeglobal flows, implementcutting-edgesolutions, and set new standards for packaging excellence.The Containers/ Packaging Manager rolesspan multiple sub-functions.One sub- function is associated to Program Management is to ensure all the design processes are completed within program timing and hence to ensure 100% of containers are delivered on time for launch The candidate will be responsibletoprojectmanageandrepresentcontainers with the program teams for all containers related activities.A second function focuses on material flow and container flow operations, ensuring fleets are moving successfully through the network and evaluating the use ofexpendablein the network.The thirdfunction focuses on expendable design, strategy, andpurchasing forthe parts network, inclusive of service parts.All roleshave fiduciary responsibility to managecontainers capital, expendable,& operationalspend.Theymayalso beresponsibleexpendable packaging plans and benchmarkingassociated with program partsandreusable container fleet performance.

Position will supervise a team: provide employee development, training, and drive the performance management process as well as manage an efficient organizational structure.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Lead a team of program managers and container/packaging engineers to develop and deliver reusablecontainer fleets to support vehicle launches

  • Lead a team to supportDirect Purchasing with packaging concepts & costs to ensure total enterprise cost sourcing decisions

  • Supportlogisticscost savings through more efficient packaging designs & inboundlogisticssolutions

  • Manage program budgets for packaging, equipment, and utilize common corporate tools to forecast commits and spending

  • Influences others within the organization to accept new concepts,practices, and approaches

  • Hold accountability for staffing, communicating, training and development,in addition to, directing and prioritization of work, evaluating performance, and removing roadblocks

  • Develop and track KPI's related to container fabricators and supply basein order tomaintainon-time delivery and first-time quality

  • Bring a global perspective and global management experience toassurean integrated, consistent, and concurrent engineering process to program development and execution  from early design to integration and testing. Coordinate execution of global programs and delivery from teamslocatedaround the world.

  • Actively engage in external technical communities and benchmarking activities to bring outsideperspectiveto continuously mature organizational capability and improve our products, technology,and processes.

  • Create and foster an inclusive open culture where out-of-box thinking is encouraged. This manager will provide thought leadership, foster innovation,facilitatecommunication, and inspire passion into the organization.

  • Strategic thinker and visionary, analytical skills and change management, results driven and highly skilledcommunicator.

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity on aday to daybasis andfocusedon solutions.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 10+ years relevant experience in packaging,reusablecontainers,materialflow,operations,logistics, or supply chain

  • Proventrackrecordof directly leading teams with a minimum of 4-5 people, driving results, and personal accountability with oneself and team

  • Strategic Orientation, willingness to learn, adapt & be agile, comfort in challenging norms, dealing with ambiguity

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to analyze data, develop actionable insights, and present concisely to all levels of leadership.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities supporting autonomous action

  • Strong interpersonal skills withdemonstratedability to lead diverse/cross-functional teams as well as mentor, motivate and elicit work output from peers and other team members

  • Ability to travel 20% of the timeDomestically + Internationally
