This role will be hybrid two days onsite in Schaumburg (Tuesdays plus one other day).

Role Summary

As the Consumer Insights Analyst, you will transform consumer, market, sales, and category data into clear, actionable insights that support decision-making across marketing, sales, product, and leadership teams. This role will gather, analyze, and interpret data from a variety of sources, while using Excel, business intelligence tools, syndicated data platforms, consumer research, and AI-powered tools to improve the speed and consistency of insight delivery.

The ideal candidate is analytical, curious, process-minded, and able to translate complex information into concise recommendations that help the business better understand consumers, market dynamics, retail performance, and growth opportunities.

In This Role, You Will
  • Gather, clean, analyze, and interpret consumer, sales, market, and category data to identify trends, opportunities, and business implications.
  • Design, manage, and analyze consumer surveys, feedback programs, and research initiatives.
  • Build Excel models, dashboards, reporting templates, and self-service tools for marketing and sales stakeholders.
  • Use AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, and similar platforms to improve data retrieval, cleaning, synthesis, and reporting efficiency.
  • Create repeatable processes, workflows, and documentation to improve the consistency and speed of insight delivery.
  • Partner with marketing, sales, product, IT, and operations teams to improve data quality and reporting capabilities.
  • Translate complex data into clear presentations, dashboards, and recommendations for internal stakeholders, leadership, and retail partners.
  • Proactively surface trends, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions that support business growth and decision-making.

What You Bring to the Team
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, analytics, market research, statistics, economics, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in consumer insights, category analytics, market research, sales analytics, business intelligence, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, dashboards, and structured data models.
  • Experience with business intelligence, data visualization, syndicated data, retail data, or marketplace reporting tools.
  • Experience designing or analyzing consumer surveys, feedback programs, or market research.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong communication, storytelling, organization, curiosity, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with Circana, Walmart Scintilla, Amazon Analytics, Vendor Central, Seller Central, POS data, or panel data is a plus.

The hiring range for this position in Schaumburg is $105,000 - $125,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors. An annual incentive may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
